I miss you Sparky

I've been missing Sparky a lot today.

I miss seeing him and Bumper play, chasing each other up and down the stairs.
I'd wake up in the morning and get on the computer after feeding them, and Bumper would go to Spark and make him want to chase him, then Bumper would dart and run up the stairs with Spark right behind him. A few seconds later, they would run back down the stairs, then Bumper would go and tease Spark again. This would go on a few times, then Spark would get tired of the stairs, and they'd keep playing in the living room for a bit.

At 17 years old, he was still in pretty good physical shape, besides his kidneys.
The last time I saw them do this was the Thursday before he died.
That was 4 weeks ago.
He was a playful and (I hope) happy kitty until the end.

For the well deserved morning nap, Spark would go on top of the cat tree I bought him when we lived in Millbrae, and Bumper would go on the cat bed next to the window. They would enjoy the sun bath until midday when the sun goes over the house. I would even pull the curtains up before leaving home, so they could get the most of it. I'd come back after work to Spark either greeting me, or sleeping on the pillow on the couch, then once I'd settle at the computer, he would stay next to me on the cat bed on my desk, and I would play with him and pet him on and off while at the computer.
Now Bumper can have that spot, and the one on top of the little cat tree, and all the pettings. And he's enjoying all of it.

It's been 4 weeks today since Sparky crossed the rainbow bridge.
